[identity profile] mrsbenglish.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So we found out for sure we're having a baby girl :)

We have a few names we like, but we've decided to wait until we see her face to choose.
As some of you may remember, we liked the name Londen Elizabeth, our last name is English.. well we've decided against that name, because we don't want to be "those parents"...Such as the ones I recently heard named their daughters. Summer Rayne, and Precious Jewel. *shakes head*

Okay so our three top first names are:

Lillian
Margot
Mira

The middle names we want to use are either Elaine, Elizabeth, or possibly Ann

OUR TOP name is Lillian Elaine, however we are not set on it.

What do you all think, what are your favorite combos of those names?

I like both Lillian and Elaine.
However, try saying Lillian Elaine 5 times fast and it really starts to run together.

Out of those I like Lillian best. I think the best flow is with Elaine as well.

Or maybe Lillian Elizabeth.

Hmm, I dunno.

Congrats though!

I like Lillian best out of your first name choices, and I think Lillian Elaine sounds best out of the possible combos there, so good choice, imo!

I like Mira Elizabeth of all possible combinations, then also Lillian Elizabeth, but it's a bit on the tame side.

I think it was a good choice to discard Londen.

Lilian Elaine is absolutely gorgeous, as is Mira Elizabeth. Margot Elaine is nice too, although I prefer Margaret to even Marguerite to Margot.

Margot Margot Margot!

My favorite (by far!) is Margot Ann
Second is Mira Elizabeth or Margot Elizabeth

I just know too many baby Lillians. :)

Lillian is an old lady name, to me. I like Liliana, Lilah and Lily - those are fresh, younger names; timeless, really.

I like Lillian, and am not fond of Mira or Margot. However, I don't think Lillian flows especially well with any of the middle name choices. Lillian Elizabeth isn't terrible, but I hate repeated consonant sounds and there's too much L there.

I like Lillian and Mira. Margot sounds okay, but I really dislike that spelling, because to me, it has always looked like "maggots." What about dropping the t? Margo is a legit spelling of the name and I think it looks prettier. I also like Margaret, which is sort of similar.

Margo Elaine or Lillian Elaine would be my top choice. I also like Mira Ann.

I love Lillian Elizabeth!

I love both the names Lillian and Elaine seperate but not together!
And it is funny. I have a Lillian (Marie, named after hubby's grandmother) and this one we are pretty sure we are going with ElainA and calling her Ellie :)
Good choice in names ;P

I'm not a fan of either Lillian or Margot, but I do like Mira. How are you pronouncing it, by the way?

I like any of those names you mentioned as a middle name for Mira. My favourite would probably be Mira Elaine, but they'd all be really good.

Lillian Elaine is really pretty.

I don't think Margot English flows very well. It's like Mar... GO ENGLISH! :P Sorry, sorry.

I think I'd like pretty much any combo, besides Lillian Ann... too repetitive. Mira Ann is actually quite a mouthful too, for all it's brevity.

I like all those names and think they are heaps heaps better than Londen! Congratulations :)

I wouldn't go with Lillian Ann because the "an" sound is repeated at the end. Lillian Elaine does repeat sounds a bit but I think it's fine. Lillian Elizabeth is a little long but fine too.

Margot Elaine goes nicely... Mira.. probably Elaine too although I find that the "a" ending makes it a bit hard to flow on with any of those three names you've given. Mira Elaine and Mira Elizabeth probably work better than Mira Ann.

Um basically a better summary of that is that I think Elaine goes best with all of them, Ann doesn't go as well with any of them, and Elizabeth is fine with all.

I think Mira English sounds beautiful. I'm not sure which middle name sounds best with it though.
