Obviously there are some wacky ones there...but Maria spelt like Moorea is particularly appalling. Poor little Eagle River is obviously the son of hippies.

It's possible Eagle River is Native American. I live in Oklahoma, and I see a lot of names like that, and they're usually native oklahomans.

I cannot STAND the name Payton/Peyton. Yuck.

I agree, Eagle River may be Native American. I actually like this name, It sounds very majestic, Although I think it would only sound right on a Native kid.

Its good to celebrate your culture obviously but that kid is going to have to grow up and apply for colleges/jobs/homes, and a name like 'Eagle river' just seems a hindrance.

My mind always jumps to hippy before native. With Moorea...I don't know what they were thinking. Maybe they realized that Maria is so popular, particularly as a middle name it seems, so decided to make it a little different. And in this case, I do think that by different I mean ugly, and awful.

I think that it could just be me, but Corinne looks so off to me as a name. The only girl I've ever known with that name, a good friend of mine, spelled it Corrine. I think that it looks prettier with two Rs and one N.

Elsie Emily and Keely Kale just sound too close for me. Lo just doesn't seem like a name. Maybe they like The Hills?

Oh, I know that Corinne is the proper version, that's why I said that it's probably just me who thinks that way. I just think that Corinne is very ugly, and that the second R makes it prettier.

But I wouldn't call dropping an N and adding an R a tremendous misspelling. They do look very similar. That reminds me of somebody on here who's name is Koryn, and she thinks Corinne is the ugly, fake version.

To me Cora and Corinne are so familiar that Corrine would be like spelling Jessica as Jesicca or Jennifer as Jeniffer (not that you don't see the latter spreading around, but still)
