I love Seamus, and like Fleur, Poppy and Dean but it really has nothing to do with their characters. When I was younger and liked Draco, that had everything to do with his character.

For how much I love this series, there are surprisingly few names that I like.

I like: Ginny, Katie, Narcissa, Poppy, Colin, Dean, Fred, Peter, Remus, Seamus.

And I kind of like Bellatrix too, although a large part of that is based on loving the character, and not the name itself. Then again, I can't say I love the names of my other favourite characters at all (Hermione, Minerva, Severus). They've kind of grown on me because of the characters, but I still don't especially like them.

I dislike: Dolores, Fleur, Lily, Luna, Penelope, Sibyll, Blaise, Dudley, Percy, Viktor.

I do tend to like nature/flower-type names, and there are a lot of them in Harry Potter, so I think my reasons for not liking most of them have to do with disliking the character, and therefore the name by association. That's especially true of people like Pansy and Petunia.

I never read Harry Potter, so I don't know any of these people, so I'm going solely on if I like the name.. well I do know a couple of the characters (I don't live under a rock!) but .. yeah :P

I love the name Hermione to death but unfortunately I'd hesitate to brand my daughter with HP for the rest of her life. It's just such a recognizable name now she'd never get away from it.

For the most part. I think Helena Bonham Carter does a GREAT job, but I think she's fabulous in almost everything she does. I think she's almost not wicked enough, but she'll get there in the next movie...I mean she was hardly in OOTP

Cool. I thought she was good at the kind of portrayal she was going for, but it was wildly different from how I imagine Bellatrix. I imagine her as insane in a much more seductive and subtle way, less maniacal laughing. That's scarier to me. Kind of like the female equivalent to Snape or Lucius. And I picture her as sleek and gorgeous, less frazzled. I know she's not supposed to be, seeing as she just got out of Azkaban, but that's the image of her I've always had.

I soooo hope they keep that scene near the beginning with her and Lucius and Narcissa!

I think they'll smooth her out in the next two movies, with her sanity (or lack there of) coming back to her as she spends more time away from Azkaban. The one thing that pissed me off is the duel(ish) between her and Harry in the Ministry. She's supposed to be so much more maniacal than she was...and she wasn't. But I think a lot of the problems lie in the writing more than HBC

I love Luna. For boys I adore Seamus and Cedric and Charlie. I actually love the name Draco but I would never name my child that. But I did name my kitty that. :)
