The name of my younger sisters' friend :

Zia, 11

and her little sister:

Yeva (prn. Yay-va) 7.

I really like both names seperately and as a sib-set.

WDYT?

They're okay. I don't think I would use either names.

I love Zia. I had a friend who went by Zia (it was her last name). Yeva is not my fave, but it is pretty.

I don't think that I really like either of them. I like the pronunciation of Yeva, but not really how it looks.

Zia means "aunt" in italian.

Yeva is ok, it reminds me of Yaveh.

I like them, too. I'm into 'Z' names lately, and even though I'd never use Yeva, it works. Love the fact that both of those names aren't common.

One of my childhood friends had a male cat named Zia, so it seems masculine to me. She had Native American heritage (I can't remember what tribe) and Zia means "sun" in their language.

I like Yeva, but it sounds too similar to Ava and Eva, which are both really popular nowadays.

Out of curiosity, do you know what ethnicity these girls are?

NMS, but I like them in theory. They're simple, but not plain. And they sound like they'd grow up to be cool people.
