Jul. 3rd, 2008 09:38 amMy friend recently found out she's having a girl; she already had fallen in love with the name Cirus for a boy, but now she's trying to figure out a good name for a girl...she was thinking Syris? What do you guys think?

Each baby is a separate person and deserves a separate name.
And. I had no idea how to say that, until someone spelt it Cyrus... lol Billy Ray anyone?

Date: 2008-07-03 03:06 pm (UTC)Syris is just bad ... especially since it doesn't look like it would be pronounced the way she probably wants it to be.

Date: 2008-07-03 04:54 pm (UTC)if she's dead set on the name, i think cyrus is the only way to go, and she should hold out for a boy.

Date: 2008-07-03 05:02 pm (UTC)Cyrus is a great name. Spell it right, and it's a great boy's name. But the ones she's come up with are just... not great.

Date: 2008-07-03 08:14 pm (UTC)I like it, though; even though it does have a slight boyish edge. But, if it's between that and Cyrus, I would choose the spelling above.
