I like Serena but I will always think of the tennis player when I hear/see that name. I knew a girl named Serena when I was growing up and SHE was really into sports as well, so I always think about a sporty girl.
I like it, although it's not one of my favorites. I think i just like it because you dont hear it much, and it's appropriate for a child and an adult... eh. =D
I like it - it's a refreshing change from Sarah, and has a beautiful meaning. I just don't personally like the long "ee" sound in the middle. I have heard it be pronounced as suh-RENna, which I like the sound of better, but I don't think it makes sense to be pronounced that way.
I think it's very pretty. Unfortunately, I watched too much Sailor Moon in middle school so now I'll forever associated it with the title character. I still think it's beautiful, though, and it can be a nice alternative to the more common names Sarah and Sabrina.
