Ok...this is kind of thinking ahead but boys run very strong in Dave's family and we plan on having a couple more kids down the road so I want to make sure that we have more boys names that work well. For example Dave and I both liked Benjamin Vincent, but he really really likes Vincent so he would like to save it and hopefully have another son some day and call him Vincent so we need to find a new middle name for Benjamin (right now the front runners are Daniel and Philip, our father's first/middle names). If I am going to have a son named Vincent some day then I would also like a son named Simon. Our first thought for Vincent was to name him Andrew Vincent, but then when we were discussing Simon (seems to be harder for us to come up with second names we like for Simon than for Vincent) we both agreed that Andrew Simon sounded good together so then we had to go back and rediscuss names for Vincent. We have tentatively decided that Christopher Vincent sounds fairly good, but I am not as convinced on it.

So for discussion:
Andrew Simon Paden or Andrew Vincent Paden?
and a new other name for whichever doesn't get Andrew?

Even though it seems like a lot of work now, I am glad that he talked about it with me...what if we had used Benjamin Andrew and then couldn't use it again:-p Andrew just goes so well with a lot of names.

I think "Andrew Simon" sounds better... "Benjamin Vicent" sounds nice too.

Seeing as how you have soo many name ideas already for boys, I don't think that you should stress yourself too much on making sure you have all their names planned ;)!

I don't understand something.

You said, "Dave and I both liked Benjamin Vincent, but he really really likes Vincent so he would like to save it and hopefully have another son some day and call him Vincent"

And yet you are considering Andrew Vincent or Christopher Vincent? How is that any different from Benjamin Vincent - Vincent is still the middle name, not the first?

Anyway with all that out of the way, I'd pick Andrew Simon over Andrew Vincent, but I don't know why, it just seems easier to say.

Ok, I see - thanks for clearing that up.
So what you're saying is that you like the name Benjamin enough to use as his real name... but Christopher and Andrew would be more like, "middle names at the beginning" so to speak?

Andrew Vincent Paden, hands down. I don't like SimON PadEN together.

Andrew Vincent has a nice flow to it. Ironically, my cousin and his dad have Spanish versions of those names. My cousin's name is Andres and his father is named Vicente. Weird..

I couldn't give my son the name of my dad- I wouldnt be able to handle it.! It's kind of a stupid name for a baby nowadays anyway... I call my dad by his first name because he never pays attention to Dad, lol.
He's Jeremy Charles (goes by Jez though) I would defiently consider using Charles as a middle name though.
Andrew is my BF's name... & i couldnt do the whole Andrew junior the second thing either... it would freak to me out, the fact that i sleep with someone with my sons name..ohh i am strange!
Okay now after that essay i'll get down to answering your question!
I like Benjamin Daniel a lot. I prefer Andrew Vincent, maybe Simon Charles- nn Charlie ( i love that name!) if you were going to use the second name as a first name option.
