Well, I got a lot of responses to last night's poll, so let's try another one shall we? I've seen lots of variations lately of Michaela, even more than I had seen of Caitlin, so I'm expecting to see lots of "Other" responses.

****Edit**** Wow, I guess I learned a lesson in my need to spell check stuff I post. I know so many Michaels and Michaelas, and I think that's just about the only name I've never mispelled before (heck, I sign my name as "Megna" all the time because I type too fast). So, anyway, that first one is supposed to be, you know, spelled correctly and all. Sorry about that.

I like Makayla but I accidentally hit other.

I hate the original spelling b/c I hate that it comes from Michael...I like girls' names that are names in their own right, not feminized versions of male names. And Makayla makes it more uniquely female.

I agree with the first comment, I prefer the Michaela that isn't a name. It reminds me too much of Mcdonalds, I don't see how it ever got to be so damn popular, I really dislike the name entirely.

I love the name Makayla really no matter how you spell it, but because one of my closest firend's daughter is named Michaela (after her daddy Michael). IF I were to use it I just wouldn't spell it Michaela... it looks too much like Michael with an a sound at the end. Michael-a bleh. Makayla, though very popular, is very cute.

I thought it was such a cool/pretty name when "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" was on. On the show, it was spelled Micheala or Michaela. I hate the trendy spellings of it. Heck, it was on my list back then, and now it's off, because it's so overused.

I voted other for my spelling - Makalah.
I do see it a lot of other ways, Mechaela, Mikayla, Makayla, etc. but nothing like mine.
