I met a woman at work today that has two daughters named Alexandra (Ally) and Shelby Lynn. Alexandra is OK, but Shelby Lynn makes me want to barf. It sounds so hick.
BTW, WDYT of Allyriane? It's an unusual name I just heard of. It's French and comes from "lyre".

Shelby is probably one of my least favourite names.

Date: 2008-06-14 01:45 am (UTC)I love Alexandra. Shelby isn't my style, but I do kind of like it. I hate Ally spelled that way, though -- it makes me want to say it like al-eye, since that's the way the word is pronounced. I like it better as Ali or Allie.
