Baby name!
Jun. 4th, 2008 10:34 pmI'm 12 weeks pregnant, and I want to see how you guys like the names we've picked out. I'm unfortunately a bit boring, as we really don't need suggestions, just opinions.
James Kenneth Huff -My husband is Kevin Kenneth. This baby would be the seventh boy in his family to have the name Kenneth.
Daphne Margaret Huff -My sister is Amelia Margaret, my mother is Margo Lee, and my grandmother is Margaret Isobella. If I'm feeling charitable, my mother in law is Mary, so we could stretch and call this related to her name too.
WDYT?
I'm Katherine Elizabeth. My MIL really really wants us to use another K name, as "we have a theme started already with our names". Does anybody under the age of 50 and over 19 find this cute? We don't like any K names, and even if we did, we wouldn't want to be the KKK!

Date: 2008-06-05 08:47 am (UTC)I like James Kenneth... Daphne Margaret I think I like it - I just haven't ever really thought about the name Daphne before! It kind of reminds me of the woman on Frasier. But otherwise, I like how it's a traditional classy sort of name that isn't extremely common at the moment. Don't like it that Daffy could be a nickname, but that's my personal preference. I'm sure this is a name that would really grow on me if I knew a little Daphne anyway

Date: 2008-06-05 10:28 am (UTC)I really like Daphne Margaret! Such a pretty name. Haha, I don't care for names that all start with the same letter at all. If you'd like a K name, I'd say go for it, but I wouldn't use one just so your names would all start with the same letter.

Date: 2008-06-05 05:16 pm (UTC)A member of this community started the "all the same initials for cuteness" theme and then when she became pregnant with her second had an awfully hard time trying to find something to match.

Date: 2008-06-05 08:38 pm (UTC)Not a fan of Kenneth, but I can see why you'd want to use it.
All K names: not really cute. If you like a K name, that's great, if not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Date: 2008-06-06 12:29 am (UTC)I would see if you liked any K names because if you like a name that starts with K, if not then thats fine. I dont think having all the same first letter is that big of a deal.
