I need help!

*sigh* This process has been on-going since I found out I was pregnant. We both want Lily as our baby's first name but we CANNOT agree on a middle name! I actually love Liliana but it doesn't work well with our last name, Schoolfield. It actually makes a sentence when said aloud and I just can't do that to our child! LOL



Okay, so here are the criteria.
It can't start with an "ee" sound.
It can't end with an "ee" sound, nor an "s" sound.
It can't contain any "l" sounds.
It can't be too cumbersome (too long or a mouthful to pronounce).
The most important thing is that it MUST BE UNIQUE, not trendy! We love Lily very much but we know it's trendy, so we need a very unique/unusual non-trendy middle name (and not something that's trendy, just horrendously spelled, either).

Am I dreaming or can I find a nice name? :/
We've run across a few that were nice enough but none really struck me as "the one." I like middle names that start with a "K" but I haven't found one we both love.

We're on a roll with Greek names right now. None of these really made me fall in love with them, though.

Oh, I love Lily Katherine! Sadly, it's DH's sister's middle name and they don't get along very well at all. :(

I told DH earlier that if his sister's middle name wasn't Katherine, that would be Lily's middle name.

Thanks! Lily Sophia was actually one we talked about early on but we kinda forgot about it. :) DH doesn't like it so well cause he said it reminded him of the Golden Girls, hehe.

Lily is a lovely name; but with a girly name like that, I think it would be best to use something less flowery and more "solid" for a mn - does that make sense?

I'm Australian. I've noticed that people on this forum often pronounce "an" as "on" in names, but I've never heard of it here.. Liliana would most likely be "lily-AH-nah" ("ah" being the same sound as is in "arm") or possibly more like lily-anna.
"an" and "on" don't sound similar at all in my accent so I'll keep that in mind in future.

Well, all the middle names I've said aloud that DIDN'T meet the criteria didn't sound good. I LOVE Elise but it all runs together with the "ee" sound at the end of Lily/beginning of Elise and the "s" sound at the end of Elise/beginning of Schoolfield. When I say names with the "l" sound in them, it sounds awful because there are already so many l's in the first and last name. :)

Liliana is probably my favorite name- I would have cried too if I couldn't use it! I generally pronounce it lil-ee-ahn-ah which wouldn't have the same "Lily on a school field" problem, but yeah...anyway, onto middle names for Lily (which is equally beautiful, and when I have a daughter named Liliana I will call her Lily as well).
