[identity profile] blueboo3.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi...I'm new here. My name is Brooke and I'm 21 years old. I am 7 months as of yesterday and I am having a girl. I am due on February 8th. I was just wondering if you guys had any feedback on the name I've picked out.

I wanted it to be Madyson Adella (ah-dell-ah), but I come from a very small community and my friend is naming his daughter that. So what do you think of Clover Adella?!

Thanks for any input,
B

Interesting. I love Adella. But not really Clover. I suppose it could grow on me.

I think Adella is nice, but i don't like Clover. But, I don't like Madyson either, so I'm not a big help I guess.

i think clover is darling but it doesnt really match with the feel of adella.

what about adella as a first name? or maybe just adele?

adele clover sounds better than clover adele i think.

Clover is cute. I like it much better than Madyson/Madison/Madisynne/any form of that name, because it's a MALE name. It means "son of Maude." So I will never like it on a girl.

I think Clover Adella is very nice, and I think you should name the baby what YOU want, not what your mother wants. It's YOUR baby!

Clover reminds me of one of the rabbits from Watership Down. It's cute, but I can't really see it on a grown woman.

I can't stand Madison, or any of the various spellings, but that's more of a personal choice. It just seems so overdone to me.

Adella, I like. It's different. There are family ties to the name. It could suit a little girl or a grown woman.

In my opinion, Madison/Madyson is cute, but way too overused. I think Clover is gorgeous. It is unique, yet at the same time, people won't have difficulty spelling or pronouncing it. Plus, the "L" sound in Clover and the "L" sound in Adella create a nice ring ;)

I dont usually like "odd" names for children. More into the traditional stuff. But Clover is absolutely charming to me. I say choose Clover, PLEASE. The last thing the world needs is another Madison, especially spelled with a y.
