I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to use any of them, but I like Lydia, Genevieve, Lauren, and Margherita. And I had a friend in high school that went by Bee and I always thought that was cute.

I'm surprised by this list. When I think of "WASP" names, I think of names like Madison, Dakota or Peyton.

WASP usually means the upperclass of society, so like the names you'd see on the kids of Bill and Melinda Gates or people of similar social stature. I see Madison, Dakota, Peyton, etc. as really common, and even trashy on some level -- the names you'd see on people often referred to as "white trash."

There were a few traditional WASP names like Morgan and Blair, but it was mostly this.

A lot of these do not seem WASPy at all, and believe me I like names that are, as someone in another entry said, "painfully white". Margherita, Elletra, Zani, Fabiola, Marisa, Tatiana, Coralie, Ferebee, Mignonne, and Sylvana sound too foreign to be WASP names.

I know what WASP means. Like it said, to me, the names I listed seem like country-club, upperclass, "white" names... I know lots of people have differing opinions, but these names seem like the new Ashleys or Laurens to me.

Both my name (Marisa) and my brother's name (Cameron) are on that list, one after the other, in fact. The only other names I like on that list are

Margherita is a type of pizza! It's not really common to see it in the US except nice Italian restaurants, but if she ever goes to England people will laugh at her.
