Agreed - but for me it's a cultural ignorance thing. (I'm the one who's ignorant, not his culture!)

I tutor a little girl in grade 4, and her name's Asmaa (pronounced like 'asthma'), which is apparently pretty common in Somalia, where her family's from (she was born in Canada). Only, she breathes REALLY loudly, and it's kind of ironic... It makes me re-think what I want to name my baby, based on the name's meaning in different languages.
