Derica (f) - did they want a boy *derrik* and get stuck with a girl.. so they made it feminine? or did they just add a 'd' onto 'Erica'??

Maryhelen (f) - the names by themselves are great... but why smoosh them together?!

Whoa. I like Shawn (on a boy) and Dellanie's kind of cute, but the rest... I mean, why is Maryhelen together? If they liked both names, call the kid Mary Helen. And Deniece reminds me of the way I once saw Janice spelt: Janiece. I'm still trying to decide if it's pronounce ja-NIS or ja-NEESE.

i actually work for a mortgage company... i get ALL the prequals across my desk. these are all people from many different places & backgrounds, wishing to try and purchase a home.

the sad thing is, with some of these names, you just have to cringe.

seriously! Shawn is a lovely name (i prefer Sean, but i'm irish) ON A BOY. now, if it was a NN for say, Shawna or something, maybe ... but that's her name. plain Shawn. *eye roll*

my thoughts exactly for both 'Maryhelen' & 'Joeangel' - SEPERATE them if you like the names!!! that 'smooshing them together' trick never really works for me.

I had to triple check to make sure i was typing it correctly, and that the person spelled it correctly on both 'Deniece' & 'Able'. and they were correctly spelled according to said applicants. ergo, they made my 'list'.
