My husband and I are TTC and we occasionally talk about baby names...ok, I mostly do. However, he actually gave me two girls names last night that he really likes:

Hailie, Haylie, Haylie---however you would spell it
and
Hilary

I don't know if he has a facination with the Duff sisters, but he really likes Haylie

WDYT about the two and what do you prefer as far as spelling?

I hate the name Hayley in all its forms.

Hilary is nice, though I prefer Hillary, just because I think it looks better.

haha i didnt even think of the duff sisters until you said that.

i like hilary a lot, or hillary, but i dont like the name hailey/however you want to spell it. i just think its another little girls name and wont age well at all.

As far as spelling goes I would spell them Hilary and Hailey respectively.

Don't feel bad given your honest opinions! My husband mentioned the name Carl and Trent for a boys as well. I was like "What the heck?". He honestly does not have the best taste in names! Neither are my taste!

I really like Hailey. I've liked it ever since I first heard it. Especially spelled that way. Haley always makes me want to say 'Hal-ee, for some reason.
The only downside is that it doesn't age very well, in my opinion. I always think of a little girl when I hear the name Hailey.

I was trying to think of someone "older" with the name. Does anyone remember Hailey Mills from "The Parent Trap". The one made BEFORE Lindsey Lohan did the remake!

I like Hailey and Hilary.

I don't normally go for the current popular names but I know a really wonderful little girl named Hailey, so I can't help but love it. She's such a lovable little character.

And Hilary isn't a "yooneeq" spelling, it's the unisex spelling.

I don't really like Hilary, but if he was set on it, I personally would suggest Hilarie, 'cause I think that looks cuter. And I like Haylie spelt best...Haylie. Maybe I like the 'ie' thing or something.

I don't like the name Haley due to people (evil evil children) I've met with the name, but pushing personal reasons aside, I think it's very pretty.

I do not like the name Hillary though- It's too stuffy sounding for a little girl. It'd be okay once she hit 50 though...

I'm a 25 year old Hailey. I like my name, and in my age group it wasnt very popular, so i've never had to go by Hailey G. A lot of time I spell it out when people are asking for my name to write down for something... otherwise I see a lot of Haley. And to me, it just looks incomplete. But that could be because I'm used to spelling it Hailey. I'm not a huge fan of extra letters or unneccesary Ys. I do like the name Hilary, but prefer it spelled Hillary.

I really like the name Haylie.

Hilary/Hillary, however, I HATE. I've never really liked it much to begin with...and now I'm so sick of seeing/hearing the name because of the elections that I would never use it.

Hailie is my favorite way to spell the first name, but it's so common, I would try something more unique.

Hilary just makes me think of Hillary Clinton, which isn't a good thing IMO.
