-lyn names? *
Jan. 17th, 2006 05:31 pmI am by no means having a baby, considering my age, but I love baby names quite a lot.
A family name of mine is "-Lyn."
For years I was madly in love with the name "Madelyn Sierre." Not Sierra, just Sierre. I wanted to name a future daughter that for years, but now I'm contemplating it, because Madelyn is getting so popular.
Another name I REALLY like is Caitlyn Brielle, but Caitlyn has always been a pretty popular, and I'm not the kind of person who's going to name my kid a name that 3 others kids will have in her class.
So, my question is, What other names do you know/like containing -Lyn?
Thanks!
EDIT: On Opendiary, somebody suggested Katialyn. That's adorable, but I despise the spelling. K's get to me. Majorly.
So what spellings could spell it well?
Catealyn
Caitialyn
Catialyn
Caytealyn
And, my mum's name is Leigh... does that mean a straight EE sound can be spelled "eigh?"
In that case
Cateighalyn?
Wow that's too long, lol.

Magdalen: Im not sure how to even pronounce that
Ashlyn: My cousin.
Marilyn: ehh. In between love and hate. Reminds me of Pinkett's daughter on Opendiary.

Date: 2006-01-18 12:25 pm (UTC)Caitlyn is gorgeous, it might be popular but it's still one of those beautiful classics. It may not be as popular when you decide to have kids anyway. ( feel the same as you do about K's!!)- i prefer the spelling Cate/Cait.. as a nn.
Adalyn
Avalyn- (Aver-Lyn)
Cailyn/Caelyn
Evelyn- Not Ever-lyn as most people pronounce it but Eve-lyn.
Jocelyn
Rosalyn- Either Rse-uh-lyn or Roz-uh-lyn)
Roslyn
Taylyn
K thats all i have!

I like Magdalyn, but I prefer Magdaline or Magdalena. I also prefer Madeleine to Madelyn.
"Eigh" in the middle of a name is pretty awful.
