It's not exactly my cup of tea, and sounds a little like an Old West prospector, but it's still a nice name. And with a good last name, it could be a very nice name indeed.

lol - I'm not pregnant either and I don't have any kids yet, so does that make me sadder?! lol.

I think it's fun to plan and dream. We've been TTC for about 3 months, so we'll keep planning. I have lots of names in my head.

Okay, Jeremiah Jasper Eddy sounds a little prospector-ish - or like a Southern preacher.

I think there are nicer names than Jeremiah that begin with J for the first name(i do like Jasper)- It sounds like an old manish name & the meaning isnt even all that great 'exalted of the lord'

Joshua Jasper
Jake Jasper
Jamison Jasper
James Jasper
Joel Jasper
Joseph Jasper
Julian Jasper
Jude Jasper

I like Jeremiah but we had a dog names Jasper when I was realy little. I loved the dog, a very cute cocker spaniel, but now it just makes me think of my old doggie. And that was the name of the street I was on when I got my first real kiss, lol.

I can't handle when people post the name Carter, because we named our new kitten that, after hubby's favorite baseball player, Gary Carter.

I guess the double-Js is a bit much, but I think it's great - Jeremiah is a gorgeous name that you don't hear all that often, and Jasper sounds good with it.

That reminds me.....we have a dog named Lexus and when we were pregnant with our first baby my husband had the audacity to suggest that if we had a girl to RENAME the dog and name the baby girl Lexus!!

I tend to always give my pets people names, at least my dogs and cats, so it is always weird to hear them being used on babies after that.

OMG. boys are so weird. Lexus should definitely stay on the dog. Alexis can be the baby!

I am weird, and like to name my african violets. I named my first one Emma. Then I met my boy, and he made me name my third violet after him, Andrew. What are we naming our first born daughter and son? Emma and Andrew. Now I feel like an idiot.

I LOVE IT.

Jeremiah is the sophisticated version of Jeremy :) Jasper sounds oddly wonderful with it, although I usually don't care much for it.
And JJ is cute.

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!! It's an awesome name.

I love Jeremiah. I'm not sure about Jasper. JJ is a cute nickname, though.

You don't think that's a great meaning?

I really like Jeremiah, but not Jeremiah Jasper. The nickname "JJ" reminds me of JJ the Jet Plane. I'd keep Jeremiah, but find another middle name. Maybe have Jasper as a third middle name?

No, i dont. It's not very... exciting.. I like names that actualy mean a word.. like my name means wisdom. I'm an athiest, i don't care for 'exalted of the lord'

I don't normally like those names, but they do sound good together.

I don't care for Jeremiah at all, it's far too biblical for me :/ I wanted to name my dog Jasper so I don't like it as a child's name. I don't understand why you would name your child Jeremiah Jasper only to call him JJ - seems strange to me.

Jeremiah is nice, but Im not feeling Jasper so much. It reminds me of a cat, or Casper.

I like Jeremy better than Jeremiah - I just think Jeremiah is too long for a boys name. (Not that boys names can't be long, but most of them aren't 4 syllables)

For what it's worth, my brother(James Edward)'s nickname is JJ, especially when he was little. He only has one name that starts with J but somehow his nickname became JJ anyway, i think something to do wtih how he pronounced his name when he was a baby. I guess if you love the nickname JJ you can still use it as long as there's a J in there somewhere

Personally I would choose one over the other, but I liked the suggestion someone made above--reversing it.
