My mom and I stopped by a local Wal-Mart today to pick up some things, and the cashier's name was

Ernestina

Ouch.

I've heard that one before, I think, but I really hate when people add a suffix to a male name to make it a female name (that doesn't exist already). Horrible ones I've seen in this community: Albertneisha, Bruce-Ann.

When I was little I had a friend whose sister was called Ernestine (pronounced Air-nes-TEEN).

I really don't like Ernestina/e, but I don't think it's that bad either.

eh, I don't think that's the sort of bad that merits a horrified reaction

I worked with a kid who's mom was named Ernestina....went by Tina.

My Great Grandma was Ernestine Clementine Justice (she changed the Clementine to Caroline....I always thought she should have changed the Ernestine....)
