An interesting name I came across today that I hadn't heard before:

Saskia

It was on a girl in her mid-20s I'd say. Average North American lastname. ThinkBabyNames says it's of Danish/Old German descent, referring to the Saxon people. It was Rembrandt's wife's name. I like it visually, not so much when spoken.

I've always thought it was Eastern European.

It used to be one of my favourite names, but I've really gone off it in recent years. It sounds a bit chavvy to me now.

It looks very pretty...it would make a nice name for a fantasy heroine.

How is it pronouced?

Wouldn't work too well where I live, my province starts with Sask.

If I did not live where I did, I would quite like it! :)

I know two Saskia's. I think it's an ok name. Maybe it's because the Saskia's are both really nice people ;)

I like both how it sounds and is spelled

There's a book by the same name, I think it retells the Rumplestiltskin story...

It reminds me too much of the bad character Saskia from the Australian show, Neighbours. D:
