Mar. 23rd, 2008 11:44 amWhat do you think of the name posy/posie?
We are beginning to plan for a second baby, and have been talking about using a 'floral' name if it is a girl (In honur of my grandmother). Originally, picked out for a second girl, was Poppy June, but we've been leafing through other ideas and came across Posie. I realize neither Poppy nor Posey are particularly formal, but I figure with kids name Moxie Crimefighter etc, I'm not too worried lol.
Okay, so opinions. Maybe middle names too?
TIA

Date: 2008-03-23 02:50 am (UTC)if you decide to go with a name like that, i would personally use a more traditional middle name, so its there for her to fall back on when she gets older, if she so chooses.

Date: 2008-03-23 05:59 am (UTC)i would stick with a simple, more classic middle name.

For what it's worth, I really like Poppy June.

Date: 2008-03-24 10:04 pm (UTC)i really love poppy. it does kind of have an opiate connotation, though, to me anyway.
either way, i don't think you can go wrong. :) they're both very sweet names. i just like poppy better because it's one of my favorites and i've never given any thought to posie/posy before.
