[identity profile] admirari.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I got a new rat today. My other rat I got Valentine's Day. Her name is Valentine.

Any suggestions for a St. Patrick's day rat? She doesn't look like a Patty.

And not really into Lucky.

Any other Irish/St. Patrick's Day suggestions?

Thanks!

EDIT: I love these names! (ok except beer!) and asked her what her name was with each name. I think she's Clover.

Blarney? As in the stone? Or what about something like Whiskey or Guinness? Or an Irish place name like Kilarney or Dublin?

I got a parakeet around St. Patrick's Day about nine years ago and ended up naming her Clover.

Midori - it's Japanese for "Green". :)

Clover and Shamrock were the first to pop in my head.

Personally I think Clover would be a lovely name for a rat =)

You just answered a question for me! My ex-husband got a dog named Midori and I always wondered what it was =]

Lol at "beer!" Maybe Ginny, short for Guinness? "Corned Beef" would be cruel.

My favorite Irish (people!) names are Fiona (nn Fee or Fifi, both rat-sounding) and Aoife.

Awesome! :)

I think it's a cute name...I saw it for the first time while watching a figure skating competition...one of the Japanese skaters was named Midori.

Helena.

Alright, it's nothing to do with the day, but it's a good match to Valentine, IMO.

Okay, so I really enjoyed Mirrormask, lol.
