I have never seen Cailin for that pronounciation. I knew a girl named Coleen, with just one L though.

Colleen. It's more classic. Cailin sounds kind of trendy, and it could get mixed up with all the Kaitlinn/Katlin/Caitlyns out there.

I prefer Cailin, but I think a lot of people would try to stick a T in to make it Caitlin, so Colleen is probably a bit more practical. I just don't care for Colleen much, though, and I really like Cailin.

To me, Cailin looks like a typo of Caitlin. So I prefer Colleen =)
