Last night, I was covering a school board meeting and had a ton of time to kill while they were in executive session, so I wandered the halls of the primary school where the meeting was held. As is the case at most primary/elementary schools, the walls were covered with pictures and artwork made by the kids, so I decided to look for names. I didn't find any absolutely horrible ones, but some names and spellings that are a little unusual/uncommon. I definitely expected worse.

For the record, these kids are in grade K-3.

Girls:

Raiven (who had very pale coloring, light blonde hair and blue eyes)

all of the girls names are atrocious.

as are most of the boys names, though i do like grayson. my friend's sister just had a baby girl and named her grayson leigh, and i think it's really cute. they're calling her gracie for short.

Yikes, I would say the spellings for Broedy, Paityn, Raiven, and Kaelyn are all pretty hideous looking.

I quite like Sarahjane, though I'd probably seperate it and use it as normal. Grayson used to be on my list, but I think it sounds a bit pretentious. I really like Lilly Pepper. Don't think I could ever use it but I definitely like it.
