I believe Ariki is a Maori name, so I'd assume the "Te" part and Tiarn are as well, but I really don't know. If that's the case, then that's pretty cool. If they're just made up, they're [more than] a little weird.

Te Ariki really does look like a Maori name, except I must admit that I can only think of place names in New Zealand with "Te" in front, I didn't think it happened with peoples' names...

Te Ariki is a Maori name and means 'the God'.
It's pronounced with a soft 'te', not like tee, but more like 'meh' with a T. Ariki is pronounced are-ree-key. I really like it, but I could only imagine it on a Maori or Island person.

I don't know where Tiarn is from, or how to say it. It's not Maori (the position of the vowels and constants are wrong).
