A friend of my husband's had a dog like that named Chewie, which I thought was cute. Scout seems like a cute name for a yorkie too.

i think a lot of it depends on the personality. i heard that one should always keep pet names under 3 syllables though.
some suggestions: aster, leland, lillian, lux

Neighbours had a dog like that! It was called Pepper. Which is probably kind of boring. But I wanted to mention it anyway! =)

I'm thinking...Gino?

And end in a -ie or -y sound. This seems to be easier for them to hear. For example, 2 of my cat's names are Jesse and Toby, and they don't look at you until you say the "ee" sound. :)

I think its cute to name pets either a) the opposite of how they look, or b) human names. I have a red miniature poodle named Moose, which was originally because she was a full three times larger than her brothers and sisters. She's bigger than both her mom and her dad, but she's still the size of a medium-large teddy bear, haha. So it's cute. Her registered name is "Oliver's Strawberry Mousse" because of her color. :)

Oh, and not something that could be confused with a command. I have a friend who named one of her dogs Juno, which I think is dumb because every time you call his name he's going to think that you're punishing him. Most dogs can't make that differentiation.

Chloe or Zoe for a girl. I have thought of getting a pair of pets and calling them Chloe and Zoe. I dunno.

Off the top of my head...

A lot of it is more in your tone of voice, and your body language, and not so much what you are saying. there are some dogs out there that seem to be able to understand at least some of our words...but mostly, it's how you say them :D
