Hi! I'm Lauren. I hope everyone is doing well. I just joined this community and I wanted to tell a wee bit about myself. I LOVE to read, write and anything to do with horses and dolphins. I also LOVE takin' care of the wee ones. I’ve even volunteered in a daycare center from 2002-2005. I LOVED every minute of it! I want to adopt in a few years. I did comment on an entry, but I'll let everyone know what my favorite names for girls and boys are in another entry.
I hope to hear from everyone soon! And if anyone has MNS Messenger, feel free to add me to your contact list as well as friend me on LJ if we have a lot in common. Some of my other favorite things are Touched by an Angel, Disney movies, ER and 7th Heaven.

FYI, that comment you left was rather rude. You need to learn how to treat people with some kindness and respect. If you would have just asked, “How do you ready f you’re blind?” and left it at that, then the comment would have been fine. But you didn’t. You chose to leave a rude remark at the end of it. Nevertheless, I’ll explain a wee bit about how I read. Due to me having almost no vision, I use a screen reader when I’m on the computer. A screen reader is a program that reads text aloud. I hope that helps you to understand how I read a wee bit better.

And in the future, I would appreciate it if you would express your curiosity about visually impaired people with a wee bit more kindness and sensitivity. You never know, you just might learn something. As for anyone else who is interested in learning about what it’s like to be visually impaired, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions you have. I’ll be happy to answer them! Just choose your words carefully.

Also...that "rude" comment was not my way of "expressing my curiosity" about visually impaired people. It was my way of saying "O HAI THAR TROLL."

You need to really learn how to treat people with some respect and kindness. I did NOTHING to you and I didn't offend you in any way. All I wanted to do here was make some frends, but you're making that a wee big hard at the moment. If you don't like me for whatever reason, just don't reply to my posts. It's as easy as that. But being rude and calling me names isn't going to get anyone anywhere. I didn't call you anything.
