babynamesSo I've been doing genealogy this weekend and I came across the following names in my family tree, from the late 1700s. They lived in Massachusetts.
Mother: Silence (!)
Father: Amos
Children:
Charles
Enoch
Jephtha (M)
Achsah (M)
Polly
Adah
Zillah (F)
and Permilla (F)
Silence's sister was named Submit.
And in other news, what do you think of the name Thomas? What comes into your mind when you think of it? I was watching 1776 today and I just thought, wow, Tom is a really cute name for a boy. Sort of like Sam--it just sounds like a nice person.
