What do you think of these 2 names?

Elinor Delphine
Jasper Mathieu (not some made up version of matthew, it's the french spelling, and i prefer it.)

they've been growing on me lately.

I like both the names, just maybe not the spellings. I like Eleanor better, and I like the way Matthew sounds more than the way Mathieu sounds. But Jasper is nice.

I like Eleanor, but Elinor looks...egh. I like Eleanor Delphine. Jasper is okay, but I don't particularly like it much. I like the sound of Jasper Mathieu, and I like the French spelling.

Elinor and Jasper are two of my favorite names, and I think they sound nice as a sibset. And Elinor is my favorite spelling of the name. :o)

Your middle name choices are very unique, but I like that about them. I like it when people get creative with middle names. :o) I don't think I've ever heard Delphine before. What does it mean?

I like the spelling Elinor, because of Jane Austen.

I really like the name Delphine - it's lovely. I think it's Greek for 'with womb' (as that's where the word dolphin comes from).

As an Eleanor, I can assure you that your daughter will always have to spell her name for people no matter which spelling you decide on, but that educated people tend to guess "Eleanor" far more often than all the others.

Also, Jane Austen has a character named Eleanor as well, if that's part of your motivation.

I'm saying there is also and Eleanor, spelled that way. She's in Northanger Abbey.

I like Elinor, but with Delphine it's almost too much.

Jasper I'm OK with. Just so you know, Mathieu is pronounced very differently from Matthew! It's like the difference between Thomas in English and Thomas in French.

Yeah, I like the spelling Elinor best because that's how it's spelled in Sense & Sensibility. :o) Yayyy Jane Austen!
