[identity profile] alexandria-skye.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

i was going through stats tests and came across a lyndsey.

my little sister was watching disney channel, and they were interviewing a little girl named jourdan. (all i could think of was why not go all out and say jourdynn...)

and last but not least, i was driving home with a friend who said that if she had twins (boy/girl), they would be justin and justine.

I know a girl named Lyndsay. She's an airhead who says "like" about 50 times in each sentence.

I don't mind Lyndsey or Lyndsay. I think it's the ONE name that I don't mind seeing more than one 'y' in.

I saw that Disney Channel commercial, and the first thing I thought of was this community, heh.

Working in the college bookstore, giving students their online orders, has exposed me to various spellings of Lindsay. Including like, Lyndsie. I can't remember the other spellings.

The Lyndsey spelling doesn't bother me as much as Jourdan.

I don't really like either name, but Lyndsey spelled like that doesn't bother me.

Lyndsey, at least to me, has become a totally legitimate and accepted spelling.

Justine/Justin is a little much.

I think putting the u in Jordan makes it look masculine (I'm a girl Jordan so it's a girl's name as far as I am concerned!)

I knew a Jourdanne growing up. Now that was a spelling and a half!!

my friend is married to Carl. She named her first child Carly and is now pregnant with the second planning on naming it: Carl Jr. or Carla. SRSLY.

I don't mind the Lyndsey spelling either. When I was in middle school there was a little girl called Lincy though, and I didn't like that spelling at all.
I want to say jour (as in the French word for 'day') - dan when I see Jordan spelled that way!
And Justin & Justine is way too much. That's awful.
