Julianna Margulies (Carol Hathaway from E.R.) gave birth to a baby boy, named Keiran Lindsay Lieberthal.

I don't like Keiran, but I love that he has my first name as a middle name;) I've never seen it actually used on a boy, so I love that she did.

I've seen Lindsay on a boy. It confuses me because it's always been one of those super feminine names.

Lindsay on a boy is quite bad.
I don't know if it's one of those ex-boy's names (like many that you wouldn't suspect of, like Hillary, Whitney, Kelly), but nowadays, it really does not work!

I like Kieran though, quite a lot!

Lindsay was originally a boys name(I'm a Lindsay too). It's also a Scottish clan with it's own tartan. These days it's really rare to see it on a boy though.

It actually used to be a boys' name. If you go here (http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html) and type it into the thing, you'll see what I mean. It was pretty steadily 'uncommon-but-used' on boys until the 1970s, when it suddenly started being used on girls and became horrendously trendy.

I like it on both, actually. I've come to terms with the fact that my name was crazy-popular when I was a kid; I like it now, but only spelled -ay.

I like Kelly, Ashley, etc. on boys, and I actually sort of like Lindsay on boys. But I think most of these are so common on girls today that even though they were originally boys' names, they're now considered totally feminine. I don't necessarily agree with it, but unfortunately, a boy with one of these names is likely to get picked on for it. I do love Kelly, though.

Haha, Keiran sucks. And even though I'd never name one of my kids one of the 'ex-boys' names' like Lindsay, Kelly, Ashley, etc., I do really like them on boys. And I love some of the unisex names on boys, like Morgan and Casey.

Oh, yeah, I know:) I just haven't ever actually seen it USED on a boy, just like I've never met a male Ashley, and I've only known one male Kelly.

But I think the spelling Lindsey appears more masculine? I'm not sure why I think this, but whatever. Also, Lindsey Buckingham was a famous male Lindsey, he was a member of the band Fleetwood Mac.

I've always hated the spelling of Lindsey. Actually, any spelling except for Lindsay annoys me, hahaha. I specially hate y's and ie's. They just seem so pretentious. Plus, all the Lindseys I know are bitches, and all the Lindsays I know are cool (I was not included in this study so that it remained unbiased;))

Not so sure about the spelling "Keiran", but I love Kieran. I recall looking up Irish names ages ago and being very drawn to that one.

I don't like Lindsay on boys OR girls, but I like that she had the metaphorical cajones to use it!

I love the name Kieran. I actually had a friend growing up with that name, who kind of named himself.

Here is the story :-D. He was adopted at 3, his birthmom was PSYCHO, and he had some other name, but his parents renamed him when he was adopted. They asked him what he would like to be named, and he said, "Karen". So they made him be Kieran instead. Tada.
