I work at the courthouse and see horrible names all the time. Today I saw one that I actually though was really pretty. It was a man, and his name was Alarick, pronounced "ah LAIR ick", though he had a bit of an accent and it sounded more like "a lyric". He looked and sounded Irish, but his last name was Gonzalez. Who knows, though. Do we like it or not?

Apparently the name itself is of German origin(from Alaric), according to thinkbabynames.com. I like it.

I don't mind it, I know a lovely guy by the name of Aleric, but I prefer that spelling to Alarick.
