 So I was watching Lilo and Stitch.

What do you think of the name Lilo? Because there's an O at the end it seems masculine to me but I still think it's cute.

The little girl's name who does the voice of Lilo is Daveigh...bleh.

She also played Samara in The Ring. What do you think of that name? I used to love it but I could never name my daughter that because it's too close to my own name:Samantha...

Daveigh is like Ryleigh and Kayleigh and McVeigh all rolled into one... nauseating.

Samara seems okay, but sort of a middle ground between lots of average names.

Lilo is what people call Lindsay Lohan so I wouldn't name my kid Lilo, but I also think it is kind of a weird name. More of a nickname to me

I'm pretty sure Daveigh is actually pronounced dah-VAY, not DAY-vee.
And she also plays Jake Gyllenhaal's younger sister Samantha in Donnie Darko.

Yeah... the pronunciation is what ties the "McVeigh" in for me (and is certainly the most unsavory association imaginable).

She may be a talented actress (been too long since I saw Donnie Darko, and I never saw The Ring), but her name is horrid.

Lilo would be so very cute on a little girl. i can't see it on an adult, though - at least not one who wants to be taken seriously. in that context it makes me think of a singer in a smokey bar.

Daveigh is too weird.

Samara makes me think of biblical things.

Lilo is really cute, but I can't see it on an adult. I really dislike Daveigh, and I'm not a fan of Samara either. I like Sam, I like Mara, but somehow I just don't like them together ;) Love the nn Sam, though.

I have a friend who named her daughter Samara... It's creepy, I wouldn't name my kid that. She rather fits the name, though. Sort-of creepy.

I love the idea of naming my daughter Joon Daveigh, I'm not sure I'll ever do it though, depends of what my boyfriend thinks of it.

Don't like Lilo or Daveigh. I used to think Samara was quite pretty, but The Ring ruined it for me. It's not even because she was evil or because she killed people, but because she was sooooo damn annoying. I'd have thrown that bitch down a well, too.
