I started my vacation today and I'm watching the local breakfast show and forgot they do birthday wishes. I had to share some of the names.

Reyeli (pronounced Riley) - 14
Braeden - 7
Colton - 2
Finnegan - 2 *as cute as I think this name is, that's what my roommates cat is called
Sayvion - 5

Thoughts?

ETA: All the kids above were boys

We're currently running a charity drive at my workplace. Every time someone donates, they can write their name (or their kids' names) on the donation card and we tape it to the wall for all to see. My manager had me put up about 60 of them yesterday, and I saw some interesting names.

N'kkhai, N'kkheya, N'kkhori, N'kkheira

Arly and Avery

Carlee and Rylee

Aleksey (like this!)

Will post more eventually!

A round up of the worst, best and most interesting from this, the last week of our library's summer reading program. (Sib names, if known, will be put in brackets.)

Mikkel Alexander (Mikayla Alexis)
Troseph Lee
Kale Nathaniel
Cillian Rose (Dalton Jonquil, Toal Lillian)
Dakota Omni
Thomas Lazer
Thymm Devin (Zakk Gregory)
Parker Piper
(Hayden Harper)
Sikimiwa Otkssko (Iinii Istoan)

Konnane Akixiun (Savakti Qixak, Mixik Ibeiba, Pablan Pakma) (Parents are Sukun and Uiyula)
Jessalina Marie (Troseph up there is her twin)
Ama Thyst
Khelsei Lydia
Meghan Autumn (Cadence Summer, Danielle Winter)
Andra Skylar
(Can't recall their names, but has three older brothers.)
Rihbekkha Kiki (Alixz Bri)
Kimmantha Samberly (Jessalina and Troseph's younger sister.)

And thus concludes Summer Reading in my town. We had a big party to celebrate; there was cake and book reading and obligatory aware giving, and thus instead of being broken up into groups of twenty as always for a brief while all 80-something of them were around. This is the cream of the crop aka the kids whose names stood out or who caught my eye admist the chaos. With the exception of the tribal names, which I support, there was a lot of '...." from me at the spellings some parents chose. And the middle names... well. At least the chaotic party of squealing is over, the cake and ice cream are gone and the place is cleaned. Ages ranged 5-10 and it was a bit chaotic, but I feel like I've learned about the people in my community. (Most of it, I wish I could unlearn.)

What do you think?
