Mikael Kevin (Mikael is pronounced "MI-kel" or "mi-KALE").

Mikael is the Finnish form of Michael (I'm of Finnish descent), and Michael Kevin has been on my list for a while (I'd like to use Kevin as a middle name since, if I had been a boy, I would have been Kevin Curtis, because my mother would have been Curtis <middle name> if she had been a boy.)

My husband and I are thinking about starting on #2 within the next year and a half to 2 years, so of course my mind is turning to baby names. I started a preliminary name list and want to know what everyone thinks. I won't even try to think of middle names until I have a first name.

In case it matters, my son is Joshua Patton. Not sure I want to go with alliteration, but a lot of the girl names I like start with J. I'm also open to suggestions if you think of something that would fit my style. Thanks, everyone!

So people around here seem to have problems with naming their children normal things...

I'm looking at my hospital's website, cuz they list the babies born there for about 5 years, hoping for something to INSPIRE me because I fail at boy names.

This didn't inspire me, but it did make me want to barf: "Anisean Demitrius"

I thought it was a boy. It's a girl. :|

What do you guys think?

For a middle name two possible choices: Johanna or Louise. Both are my middle names so we want to keep it going..
The last name would be Alexander.

I'm worried about what Lyla can be made into in terms of bullying. I also don't want it to be a big tongue tie with the middle names.

I saw the cutest toddler at the store this afternoon. The mother yelled at the kid because it was apparently misbehaving, and used its full name: Angie Stone (lastname). I was all like: 'eh, what?!' because of the following two reasons:
a) obviously, the singer
b) the fact that the kid was a boy

Sometimes I really wonder what people are thinking while naming their kids...
