We finally have a winner! Nia won by a very close margin. Nia means "purpose" in Swahili and it is also a Welsh version of Niamh.

News Hour

We frequently watch The News Hour on PBS (one of the few news shows I don't feel stupider after watching)... anyways, one of the commentators last night was named: Shailagh

If Gwen Ifill didn't pronounce it I would have been stumped.  It's the same as Shaela/Shayla

I think Shaila would have been fine, I don't know why there's the "extra" -gh there.
