I need some serious inspiration.

My husband LOVES the name Layla and wouldn't let me rest until I said we could name the baby that (if it's a girl, duh). I said fine, as long as I get to pick the middle name.

So, uh, please help me out with some inspiration. =o)

Our last name is Elzey, so try to make sure it flows with that.

THANKS!

Baby names meaning "four!" Go! My co-worker is expecting twin grandsons and their older brother is Russell III, though goes by Tres. I thought of Quentin for "five", but can't come up with anything for "four."

Oops.

I posted a few days ago that my cousin gave birth to a little girl named Madison Kate. Well, my mom must have misunderstood my Aunt, because her name is actually Madison Paige.

My dog's name is Paige, so it's an odd name on a girl to me. I was really warming up to Madison Kate, too.

Ok, so here you go. I am 5 weeks today and already thinking of names. My hubby and I are pretty set on a girl.

Ava Elizabeth simple and all. A boy however....

he likes the name Liam, I am not opposed to this however I like the name Liam with the middle name Cash (cashe for another spelling). Liam Cash actually sounds awesome to me. So how do I convince him of this? I am willing to settle for Liam since I picked it out awhile ago when we started trying. So if I am going to settle with it then yeah..I want Cash.

Other names I like

Ethan Thomas
Logan Thomas
Liam Thomas (although I am still set on cash it is a name we dicussed)
Matthew Wyatt
Rya Xavier (pronounced rye-a)
Xavier Cash.

Trezior.

I tried to pronounce it with a French flair.

Nope, it's pronounced Treasure.

I love how people just throw shit together, say that's how it's pronounced and that's that. :P

You could tell the kid was totally embarrassed by his name.

I had to go to an ear specialist for balance testing today. They insert air into the inner ear, you get very dizzy, and the doc quizzes you to see if you can make sense during the process. The first section of the test, I didn't do too terribly bad, and believe it or not, the quiz was about names! She told me to tell her a girl's name with the letter A, then B, then so on. I hesitated a little, but I managed to get through most of the letters with the girls. I had to do boys too.

Here are the ones that I remember saying:

Right Ear Test - Girl Names

Anna
Brinley
Charity
Danica
Emily
Faith
Gabrielle
Hilary
Isabelle
Jessica
Kelli (that would be me)
Lindsey
Michelle
(I went blank at the letter N, even though my middle name is Nicole!)
Olivia
Paige
Quinn
Rose
Savannah
Tia
(Couldn't think of a U name)
Victoria
Wendy
Xylia
Yolanda
Zoe

Left Ear Test - Boy Names

Andrew
Brendan
Chandler
Daniel
Elijah
Frank
Gabriel
Hunter
Isaiah
Jason
Kellen
Lane
Nicholas
Oliver
Patrick
(Went blank on Q)
Robert
Steven
Trey
(Couldn't think of a U name)
Victor
Wesley
Xavier
Yancy
Zachary

I was suprised at some of the names that I came up with. For the record, I failed the second part of the test bigtime. After another round of air in the ears, I was so disoriented that I couldn't name states, cities, or countries by alphabet. She gave up on the geography, and told me to name items sold at Walmart. I only made it to letter D before completely zoning out. That test was quite an experience....it felt like I was on a roller coaster. Once I snapped out of it, I immediately thought of names to fill in the blanks that I had during the test, and named all the states in my head alphabetically to make sure that I was ok. LOL
Anyway, enough rambling.....thoughts on any of the names? Believe me, they were very, very random.

Edit Note: This quiz was done quickly, so it's not like I was sitting there thinking of my favorite names. Like I said, it was very random, and I was so disoriented that I was happy just to be able to think of any name at all. For the record, the only girl name on that list that is on my real list of names is Rose. It was just the first one that came to mind.

Just some random names I've come across, and one I remembered.

Lydon (m-early 20s)
Eshan (m-1-yr-old)
Tuesdae (f-late 30s)

Also, I remembered the name of a girl I knew through friends when I was younger. Jaffy Jolly (Jolly being her last name). To the best of my knowledge, this was NOT a nickname. Her name was actually Jaffy.
