WDYT of Amulet as a name?
It's from a book I'm reading.
WDYT of the sib set Amulet and Anoushka?

Does the name Amulet seem more appropriate for a girl or a boy to you?

My husband and I have a list of baby names that we both like that is remarkably longer than I thought it would be. One of the names we like for a girl is Rayne pronounced like "rain" (I know, it's a misspelled-noun-name, but we like it...).

Anyway, it works pretty well for a middle name, but I've been trying to come up with middle names to use with Rayne as a first name. So far, all I can think of is "Marie". I really like the rhythm pattern of "Rayne Marie", but I really don't like the name Marie (it's my uncle's wife's name who has been really mean to us for as long as I can remember, so I can't really see naming my child "after" her).

Since this community seems to be better than most search engines for this kind of thing, can anyone suggest a middle name for Rayne with the same rhythm pattern as Rayne Marie?

[Edit]: "M" names aren't necessary. We haven't come up with a "preffered" set of initials.

I realized that in all my time here, I don't think I've ever posted my favorite names:

Girls
Matilda
Elizabeth
Della
Darcy
Melissa
Diana
Linnea
Claire
Mira
Josephine

Boys:
Hugh
Frank
Harvey
Daniel
Silas
Saul
Erik

Family names I might use: Catherine, Marguerite, Helen, Elizabeth, Frank
Names I love but can't use: Sean, Michael, Erin, Georgia, Griffin, William

I am pretty set on Matilda and Hugh. I would probably use Matilda Elizabeth and Hugh Harvey if I had to decide today. Ok, let me know what you think! Make some combos for me! Make suggestions! And please be nice :)

My husband and I decided on one of our twin boys names, which will be Anders. I've been having a tough time coming up with a middle name as nothing  I seem to come up with really blends well with it. Suggestions appreciated :) I like most names, except the highly popular. I'm not a fan of the "Den" trend (i.e. Aiden Kaiden Jaiden). Thanks!

Also, if you'd like to suggest a name that would go well with Anders, I'd love that too! ^_^

These are a bunch of girls I went to high school with who have had babies in the past year. I graduated in 2006.

Katie Lynn -- Genevieve Marie
Elizabeth (Liz) and Ryan Patrick -- Ryan Patrick Jr.
Stephanie Louise and Mark -- Logan James
Kaitlyn Marie (Katie) -- Aidan

Overall, they're not bad. They're not the type of girls who'd you would expect to give such decent names to their babies

Sooo...
