One woman went into labor while waiting for her audition, and she named her son....

I don't know if that's better or worse than if she'd named him Simon, Randy, or some combination of the two....

Well I think Simon is a nice name, people wouldn't know WHY he was named that unless she told them but Idol is so trashy, was that really such a memorable event that she had to name the kid after the name of the show?
I don't even think she auditioned or anything (not that that would have made it better).
If she went into labour at the store would she have named him K-Mart

Unfortunately, yes, I have the feeling she would have named the kid K-Mart or.... Automotive or something, depending on what department of the store she was in.


Either that...or he would have been named after where he was conceived. Like...Backseat, or something.

Idol wasn't the kid's first name though. According to the article I read, his name was Jamil Labarron Idol McCowan.
