What's your opinion of Callum?

And do you like it spelt Callum or Calum?

It's kind of starting to grow on me, but I'm not sure. It's Scottish, and 'Gaelic' names are really trendy at the moment (although I won't be having kids for a few years), but it's easy to spell and pronounce.

What do you all think of it?

It's very similar to my daughter's middle name (Calla), so of course I love it. I prefer the spelling Callum. :)

Note: Believe it or not, some people may actually think it's pronounced "Call-um" instead of "Cal-um". Seriously. I get that sometimes with my daughter's name. *sigh*

I prefer Cullum, pronounced Cull-umm, not Call-umm

It's not one of my favorites, but it's nice. I prefer it spelled Callum.

I love it, and I don't think Callum is as popular as Liam or Gavin or any of the others. I like it with two l's. I also like Cullen.

Question: how ARE you pronouncing it? I didn't realize there were two legitimate pronunciations.

I knew someone with this name in high school, and I remember thinking it was kind of weird, but I think it's growing on me. A lot, actually. I like the spelling "Callum" best.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Although, apparently "CALL-um" is also considered correct. According to a link I found through Google, anyway. *shrugs shoulders*

I love it.
I'm sixteen and live in Australia, and there a quite a few boys named Callum around here.
They all use Cal as a nickname.

I like the way it looks, but I don't like the way it sounds. I prefer the Callum spelling, definitely.

I don't like it, I agree it sounds like something medically related.
