Marie-- I can't stand it. I literally know about 6 girls in my circle of friends, with that middle name.

I'm the same but about the middle name 'Louise'. I know so many girls with Louise as a second name, there's even a community on Facebook about it! It's so unimaginative and, as someone above said, 'filler' like.

I'm a Kate Elizabeth, and yes, it is what most people call a 'filler name', and it's incredibly popular, but I love it. I intend on giving t to my fist daughter, presuming I have one, as it is my mum's middle name, and her mum's name as well!

I originally wanted that middle name for my daughter. It was going to be Angel Marie. But that middle name was taken by his other two daughters, so there was no way. I didnt realize until then how popular it must really be. I only know one person with that middle name(well, three if you count his kids, but i mean friends) so i didnt know. Its a nice name but if its that popular than i'm glad i didnt use it.

I actually don't know anyone with the middle name Marie, but I'm definitely not disputing that it's super popular. I think using Marie as a middle name is perfectly fine, as long as it has some meaning, and it's not just filler. I had a friend whose middle name was Elizabeth, which is sometimes considered a filler middle name, but it was after her grandmother and Queen Elizabeth.

I'm a Stephanie Marie, and I love it. I like how it flows with my first name, to which I actually prefer it.

One of my cousins, also a close friend, is named Lacy Marie. We often call one another by our full names like that, or Lace Marie and Steph Marie. Ain't no shame in our name.

It's a family name for me, too! My dad's favorite aunt was Marie, & she died the year before I was born. I just hate that since it's one of the most common middle names that I know of, everyone assumes it's a filler, even though in my case it isn't.

When I was little I liked my middle name so much better than my first name (which is ironically another "filler" middle name - Nicole).
