*I opted for a poll because i don't really care to hear your negative comments on each name.
It would be more helpful for me if you would be so kind to pick your favorite out of the four chosen.

*I also realize that Holden from Catcher in the Rye wasn't the most likable character which has been reason enough for many to think that this name is a bad one always to be associated with the book.
To me thats like saying don't name your kid Ariel because it was a disney mermaid character and that is all people will think of. Plain absurdity. A name is a name.

Not really.
Most people in here go through each name and say
'No. Don't like it, Too Trendy,etc.'
When it is an actual child you are trying to name you don't want to hear so many negative comment over & over again. Its already hard enough as it is.

I think to many people here find it entertainment to 'dog' names.

Yeah, those are my two favorites. The other two are my fiances.
It was hard enough for us to agree on those four so the middle name poll

I love love love the name Finn. I like River and Holden too, but Finn has been a favorite of mine for a while.

I like Finn the best, but Holden is okay, too. I just think Finn has fewer negative references (although I actually DO like Holden Caulfield, haha). River and Wyatt both seem too trendy/yuppyish. But really, any except for River are okay. Finn's just the best out of all of them.

I like Wyatt, and River and Holden are okay, just not my style, but unfortunately Finn will always remind me of a fish. I know a lot of people love it, though. So anyway, my vote goes to Wyatt.

I love Finn! Such a great name.
I like River too, but more as a middle name.
Wyatt is not really my style, but in my opinion, it's a fine anme.

As for the whole Holden-discussion, I like Holden because of The Catcher in the Rye. I don't think he is a negative connotation at all.

Finn is my brother's name, it's actually Phineas but we call him Phin.
Ariel is one of my middle names.
I actually quite like Holden.

I agree with you about the doing the poll thing, because it does get negitive sometimes if you just want simple answers. I just think that maybe the way you said it came off as mean.

But anywho, I voted for Wyatt but I do like the name Finn as well. I would like to hear some middle names that your thinking of :]
