It's so girly to me. Probably because the only Ocean I ever heard of was a girl called Ocean Mare (which is kind of strange, when you think about it, since 'mare' means 'sea').

In France, there are quite a few girls named Océan.
So, girl's name to me.

Why not use Sean for a boy? It practically sounds the same, and at least it's proper.
