I used to have names picked out for my twins, one being Anders Joseph, the other being Nico Thomas. But my husband had a change of heart and refuses the name Nico. Needless to say I was very sad. :(
We were thinking of Talos (Tah-los) Eldon. His initial will be T.E.D. *sigh* Eldon is a family name.
We're also liking Espen, and Joren. I know these are somewhat out there, but so are we. Opinions/advice?
God, I loved Nico. :(

Date: 2007-12-28 01:58 am (UTC)Joren Eldon doesn't sound great, though. What about Joren Thomas?
I'm sorry your husband doesn't like Nico :( I really like Nico Thomas, too.

Date: 2007-12-28 02:53 am (UTC)I don't like Espen, mostly because it reminds me of those people who name their babies ESPN.
I typed in Nico and Anders into nymbler.com (it suggests other names based on the names you already chose) and these are the boy's names I got:
Chaz
Kai
Federico
Nils
Torey
Derrell
Spenser
Luca
Brandt
Lars
Jarvis
Enzo
Lamar
Demario
Kurtis
I'm not a big fan of most of those, but I remember you saying your husband likes Scandinavian names so maybe he'd go for Lars or Nils?
Is he against Nikolai? That would give you Nico and he could have a more formal version.

Nico and Anders sound so well arranged for twins!!
Talos is not bad, but it is a little more out there than Anders.
It's more on the mythological side, while Anders is more normal (thinking of Andrew)

Date: 2007-12-28 02:42 pm (UTC)I like the sound of Talos Eldon. I like Espen even more though, but Espen Eldon doesn't flow well.
Some other suggestions:
Stian (Stee-an)
Vidar (Vee-dar)
Lorens
Stefan
Walter
Torben
Roald
Sverre
Thorstein
Jonas
Stellan
Tobias
Good luck! =)

Date: 2007-12-28 03:05 pm (UTC)Espen is interesting. I don't really like Joren much. I have an idea he would be mistaken for a Jordan a lot, although, then again, someone not really listening might easily hear Anders as Andrew.
