Bleh. So my husband is still not thrilled about not using Peyton. I have, however, finally convinced him to give me a list of names he likes. And he's come up with:

Taylor
Mackenzie
Kennedy
Cassidy

Now I LIKE all of those names. I won't use Mackenzie though. And while I love Kennedy, I can't justify giving my girl a name that means "mishappen head". Taylor's a little TOO popular, even for my taste, and I still like it better on a boy (it's been on our boy's list for a while, most likely we'd use it as a middle name because of how many little girls have it). So that leaves us with Cassidy. Which, I'll admit, is really starting to grow on me. I'm thinking Cassidy Lane. What do you all think? Does it go well with Riley Abigail?

I like it. I think it goes just fine with Riley Abigail. The only issue I can see with it offhand is if you're introducing two cute kids with cute "-ey" names to someone, it might seem like cute overkill. If that makes sense to anyone else.

Cassidy Lane is okay with Riley Abigail. I'd either use Cassandra Lane instead, or give her a more feminine middle name, though. Cassidy Lane is too unisex; I know boys with both the first and the middle name.

My middle name is Cassiday (spelled different because its a family name) but I love it and would love to use it as a first name.

I like Cassidy, and it goes fine with Riley. I like Kennedy a lot as well, though I didn't know it meant "misshapen head." Huh, my parents should've named ME that...my head was SQUARE as a baby.

I love Cassidy! i like the nickname Cassie too, and I think Cassidy Lane sounds nice. I'm glad that would be the one chosen off the list, because I really dislike all the others. The rest all sound very masculinet to me.

Agreed. I think I'd use Cassandra. You could still call her Cassidy, but she'd have a more "grown-up" sounding name to fall back on if necessary later in life.

kennedy is my favorite of the list, but cassidy is nice too. its a little trendy/popular for my taste, especially with riley as the siblings name. together they just kind of scream "we were born in the mid to late 00s"

its cute though, if thats your style, and theres nothing wrong with that.

Cassidy Lane is made of win. That's a gorgeous name for a girl, and it works well for all stages of life. Makes me htink that the child will be the biggest sweetheart ever. I'm not fond of Riley Abigail, though... the first name I think is too masculine for a girl.

Babynamer.com says it means helmet head, which isn't much better.

It also said that Kenadee is an alternate spelling...YUCK!

While Cassidy is not my favorite name, Cassidy Lane sounds really nice and is a great deal better than Peyton Alexa. Go for it!
