Favourite names

I realised that I haven't posted my favourite names here in a while, so I thought I'd post them now, and let you all comment on them. Chances are I won't be having kids for a while, so if you really hate any of the names, don't worry, it's not an emergency. :D

Boys
1. Nathaniel
2. Colin
3. Edward
4. Evander
5. Joseph - but I'd probably use this one as a middle name. I think it goes well with the four names listed above.

Girls
1. Jane
2. Margaret (Meg)
3. Camilla
4. Irene
5. Theodora
6. Rosalie
7. Norah

What do you think? If you want to suggest any other names, go for it, because I have trouble coming up with boys' names especially.

I really like Nathaniel and Edward. I like Colin. I think Joseph makes a great middle name for any of your four names.

I love all of your boy names except Evander. I like Colin and Edward the best.

I like most of your girl names except Theodora (I like Theodore too much for a boy; I really dislike a lot of the feminized boy names like Theodora, Edwina, etc). My favorites are Margaret/Meg, Camilla, and Norah.

Most people seem to have that reaction to Irene. I think the reason I don't associate it with an old lady is because the only Irene I ever knew was a young, cheerful blonde girl. That's why I'm glad people comment on what they don't like about my names... you never know what kind of feelings many people have about a certain name, that you might be missing for whatever reason.

I like Nathaniel and Evander. Colin is okay. It reminds me of Colin Powell, though. The rest I don't like so much.

For girls.. I only really like Norah and Jane.
Norah reminds me of Norah Jones.. Margaret makes me think of an old lady... and Camilla makes me think of well.. Camilla.

Theodora - Hmm... My other top boys name is Theodore. I'm not sure how I feel about Theodora. I think it needs to grow on me a bit!

I LOVE the name Jane. I'm thinking of using it as a middle name if I have a daughter. Definitely on my top list :)

Boy names: I love all of them, except for Evander, which still makes me think of a boxer.

Girl names: I love all of them, except Theodora. I prefer Dorothea. I also prefer the h-less Nora to Norah.
