Recent finding: a 19-year old girl named Mikye, pronounced Mik-eye-ah or Muh-ky-ah, but she prefers the first one.
She says it might also be spelled Micaiah and it's a variation of Michelle.
I'm not sure if she has a dutch background of some sort.

WDYT?

I think it's interesting, but it kinda looks like someone typed Mikey wrong.

My first thought was also 'Mikey?'
Then I thought: 'Micky-ee? Huh?' =P
A very confusing name, altogether. It doesn't look Dutch to me at all though. If she had been living here and I met her in school or something, I'd probably have pronounced it like Micky-uh. Which still doesnt' make any sense =P

If you didn't say how it was pronounced i'f have said it was Mick-eye.
I like the way she pronounces it though, I prefer the spelling Micaiah though.

Even the spelling Micaiah looks a bit rough to me, but I think the name itself is beautiful... I probably wouldn't use it, but it would be one of those guilty pleasure names on my list.

I've heard of Micaiah, or Micajah. I thought it was a boy's name, because one of my male ancestors was named this, but I checked behindthename.com, and it says it occurs on both male and females in the Old Testament, so I guess it's truly unisex. I hate the spelling Mikye, though. I want to pronounce it 'MICK-ya'.

I know "Mieke" is a Dutch name and is pronounced Mee-Kah...

I know a little girl named Makiah, said the same way as that girl's name. Her dad's name is Micheal (parents misspelled Michael, haha) and her mom didn't want to name her Michaela like every other little girl named after a Michael. Anyway, I think it's a cute name, but seems kind of made up to me.

I also thought it was some horrible version of Mikey.

It actually has a pretty sound to it, but I don't like how it looks.
