Nov. 19th, 2005 06:52 amHi everyone!
I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant, so that makes 4w1d today. It was unplanned for, but my husband and I are thrilled to start a family early on.
Names are something that we don't agree on most of the time- we have a conversation from time to time about naming our future children. He likes strange names. He wanted to name our son (if we have one) Achilles. That's just a little too out there for me. We finally decided on Owen as a boy's name, but we don't know about middle names just yet.
As for the girl, we know we want her middle name to be Roselle, but we don't know about a first name. I'm leaning toward a name that starts with an A- like Aileen, Amelia or Alivia. I like names that can be shortened, or that have nicknames, for girls.
Given all of this...can you lovelies help me out? I need unique, but acceptable, middle names for a boy...and some ideas for a girl's first name that start with an A.
I've browsed baby names sites online, but all of it is so overwhelming to just sit down and look through.

Congrats on your pregnancy. My husband and I just started TTC and I hope to find out soon if I'm pregnant or if we have to keep trying. ♥

Date: 2005-11-19 10:20 am (UTC)Good luck TTC. I actually got pregnant while on birth control, so I feel guilty, almost, that some couples spend forever TTC. Best of luck, though, and I hope to hear some wonderful news from you soon! :)

Date: 2005-11-19 01:57 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, my husband doesn't like Alivia/Olivia. I thought Alivia would make him like it better, because he doesn't like the whole "Olive" thing...I figured if I took the O away, he wouldn't notice it, haha. He said he kind of likes Aileen and Autumn, both of which I adore. I'm still very partial to Alivia; maybe I can break him down, haha.
Thank you very much for all of your suggestions. :)

Date: 2005-11-19 04:15 pm (UTC)Amelia Roselle
Ava Roselle
Autumn Roselle
Amélie Roselle
Ada Roselle
Alicia Roselle (Ah-lis-ee-uh not Ah-leesha, my personal preference but you might prefer the other pronunciation!)
Don't use Alivia instead of Olivia, it looks really odd. :-/ I think i'd go for either Amelia (i think im going for Amelia Jane with my own daughter to be) or Amélie.
Good luck!
