Does this sounds BLAH?
Nov. 14th, 2005 10:50 amHi! I'm 25 weeks pregnant with baby #1 and my husband and I have already agreed on the first name Grace. We just love it! Anyway, I've always wanted to "honor' my family in a way with the middle name and none of our family names sound OK, so my husband suggested that we just use my maiden name - which I like the idea, but my maiden is SMITH. Do you think that Grace Smith is too boring?? We have a longer more different last name. Thoughts?

Date: 2005-11-14 02:35 pm (UTC)I'm not a fan of the beginning of a middle or last name starting with the same sound as the end of the first name, like in Grace Smith, but I do like using a maiden name as a middle name (which I might do some day). So as a personal preference, I'm not particularly fond of the combination, but I love the way you got it.

Date: 2005-11-14 03:35 pm (UTC)i had a friend and his parents wanted to name him after each of his grandfathers (john and norman) so they combined the names to get johman (pronounced JO-MAN) for his middle name.

Date: 2005-11-14 10:56 pm (UTC)Grace on the other hand is a beautiful feminine name. Maybe post the family names so people can give you suggestions based on them?
