Changing Names

What do you guys think of renaming a child later in life if their name just doesnt fit?

A friend of my mom's has a son named Jordan. Well, after he met a bunch of girls in school named Jordan he began to get upset. Then his mom found out a friend's boy named Jordon died, so she decided the name was unlucky. So now Jordan is now Jayden. I dont know if it was legally changed, but he is never called Jordan anymore.

Jackie Onassis had a sister named Lee. Lee had a son named Antony, but then later legally changed it to Anthony when he was 10 or so.

Mia Farrow had a son named Satchel with Woody Allen, which was changed to Seamus when the couple broke up.
